Chiefs Beat Donkeys
I just got back from an awesome weekend in Kansas City watching my favorite pro football team beat the tar out of our hated rivals. KC beat Denver 31-27.
It was a most memorable time. It was 11 degrees Fahrenheit with a sub zero wind chill… It was freezing but I had a great time. Now that is football.
Anyway, the settlement on the new house is delayed again, most likely until the 20th of December. Marquis Custom Homes is so painful to deal with. They do not have everything done and they cleaned the whole house for settlement. Now they have to place all the drop clothes back just to complete the trim, paint, re-clean etc, etc, etc…
Anyway, everything happens in the right time. We will simply not go to settlement until the house is completed per our contract. What makes this painful is that we have to close near Christmas, pack and move to the new home. But complaining is a bit stupid given how blessed we are…
We are looking forward to Christmas next year as well. My whole family is coming from Western Canada for the celebration. We are planning to have close to 20 people in the house for Christmas. It should be a blast.
I put some new pics on the site here of the home in its state prior to settlement. Rena did a great job shooting them.
Love you all and Merry Christmas.

D - The house is going to be magnificent. I’m really excited for you. I hope the builder gets their act together so you can get in there…
