Hells Angle… yes I mean that…

Well… just got back from NC. It was about 1200 miles in a little over three days. The jumping off point was Winston-Salem. From there, a 185 mile trip to Raleigh to visit UNC at Chapel Hill. Chapel Hill is beautiful. The campus is awesome. I then headed west, about 65 miles to Wilkesboro NC. I preceded father west to a small town in the Blue Ridge Mountains called West Jefferson. This was another 45 miles west.

Work was good and some very good activity is afoot.

Hurricane Ophelia left me completely alone and dry. I was hit with a slight sprinkle on day one as I was leaving DC and getting to the Virginia – North Carolina border. But that was the worst I saw. The remaining days were warm and beautiful.

It has been a while since I was able to pull a 1200 mile run. There were no cops the entire time and that allowed for a cruising speed of about 75 M.P.H. That made the trip even better.

As a final note, while I was running toward the NC – VA border, I ran up on the Hells Angels. I rode up along side, said my hello, paid my respect, and blast off into the open road ahead. A guy can always dream…

Peace.
